Setup and Configuration:

Connection:
Connect the included USB cable to PSUSB_28xi's micro USB port and to your computer or hub. Windows should automatically setup the device for use.

Connection of Modular Devices:
The four RJ45 ports (1, 2, 3, & 4) on the PSUSB_28xi modular USB box allows for connection of up to 4 SimuWHEEL or SimuBOX devices. Each port inputs 7 buttons numbered in assending port order (i.e. Buttons 1-7 are on Port 1). The Penguin r/c version of iFlag can be used for software set-up of all ports and extended mode attributes of the PSUSB_28xi. Once settings are saved to device they are permanently stored.

Setting up for Ports for Encoder or Funky Use:
The PSUSB_28xi comes set up initially for all ports to be used in button mode (PSB7s, 7c, GT, or F1). In order to use the PSUSB28xi with our encoder or funky boxes the Penguin r/c iFlag software will be needed to set the device used on each port. The PSB3e device is our encoder box which consistes of 3 encoders and 1 common button. The PSB7w is our funky switch box. These devices use custom programming and need to be set specifically (especially the PSB7w). DIY Custom devices may be created on any of the 4 ports and does allow for custom encoder setup via adjacent input pairs.

Setting up the PSUSB_28xi Extended Mode function:
The PSUSB_28xi can also be set-up in extended mode via the iFlag software. In this mode all attached boxes will double their input functionality via the press of a single button. This button may be set-up to be momentary where the doubling will only occur while the button is pressed or latching which will allow the devices to hold their secondary functionality until the "shift" button is pressed again. You cannot apply "shift" functionality to an encoder input and the system will disable extended mode if it detects this error.
